URGENT HIRE: Senior Payroll Specialist

Senior Payroll Specialist - 9.5 month contract

Our client is a world leader in developing and commercializing innovative biopharmaceuticals, and they are seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist to join their team in Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual who is looking for a challenging and rewarding role. Reporting to the Payroll Manager, this individual will be responsible for the delivery of payroll services for the UK and Ireland.

What will I be doing day-to-day?

• Deliver payroll services for UK and Ireland
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for payroll processing
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of new hires, changes, and terminations
• Maintain payroll inputs and time and attendance records
• Provide excellent customer service on employee services related issues (time and attendance, shift premiums, taxation, stock options RSU’s, APSS scheme, relocation taxing issues, and payroll-related accruals)
• Prepare journal entries, participate in monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting and tax filing
• Maintain effective controls and procedures to ensure compliance
• Support Payroll Manager on payroll related projects

The ideal candidate will have experience in many of these areas:

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in similar role
• Expertise in MS Office Suite and HR systems (MS Excel, Visio, Outlook, PowerPoint, HCM, preferred, HR systems)
• Good knowledge of local legislation and employment laws
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Organized individual with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Strong appreciation for data integrity and process improvement
