This role will sit as part of the Retail Leadership Team and you will work closely with Department Leads to support the expanding business, including developing a strategic people plan, creating and delivering Leadership and Team Development programmes, working on culture, integration and inclusion initiatives, and providing coaching and support to leaders.

What does my day to day look like:

  • Be a change agent and lead transformational change
  • Work with leaders and teams in stores to build a strong community of Leaders and Managers that contributes a positive and measurable impact to the success of division.
  • Lead your dedicated HR team to deliver the HR strategy, ensuring positive engagement with our employees and strong culture awareness.
  • Represent on cross-functional projects and work with the wider HR team in to understand employee and business needs.
  • Partner with CoEs (Centre of Excellence) to ensure robust service delivery at all stages of our employees' life cycle - Talent Attraction, Onboarding, Diversity and Inclusion, Total Rewards, Talent Management, Employee Wellbeing, Communication and Change Management.
  • Support acquisitions and future business growth, including due diligence and integration activity.

What we need from you:

  • Degree or Masters in Human Resources or related field of study.
  • 4+ years’ experience in a HR Manager or Senior HR Business Partner role with experience leading and managing a team.
  • A progressive, non-bureaucratic approach to HR with a real interest in what we do, how we do it and how we can shape it in the future.
  • Previous experience in as a HR professional in a high-volume multi-location retail environment is highly advantageous.
  • Digital acumen, strong knowledge of HR systems and processes
  • Strong knowledge of HR legislation and dispute resolution machinery in a unionized environment
