This international engineering company have been in operation for over 130 years, with core divisions in Mechanical Engineering & Electrical Engineering. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to expand their purchasing function.

As a the purchasing administrator, you will work closely within the wider purchasing team, ensuring that the procurement process runs smoothly and efficiently, helping the organization to minimize costs and maximize value from its supplier relationships.

Day to Day:

Review and process purchase orders from internal stakeholders, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information.

Communicate with suppliers to obtain quotes, confirm delivery dates, and resolve any issues or discrepancies in orders.

Maintain accurate records and track order status, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services to support business operations.

Assist in the development and implementation of procurement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.

The ideal candidate should have strong administration experience and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Previous experience in a purchasing environment and knowledge of the construction industry would be advantageous, as would experience with SAP. The successful candidate will receive full training on in-house procedures and systems and must have the ability to work well in a cross-functional team.
