Location: Dublin

Role: Motor Claims Handler or Loss Notification Handler.

Our client is a dedicated Broker-only Underwriting Agency, collaborating with top European and Irish insurers. They handle every aspect of an insurer's responsibilities, from underwriting to claims settlement.

This full-time permanent role entails reporting directly to the Claims Manager. The selected Motor Claims Handler will collaborate closely with the wider claims function and the underwriting departments.

 

Responsibilities:

The role of the Motor Claims Handler at the client involves a diverse range of responsibilities, including but not limited to:

  • Providing outstanding customer service, ensuring accurate capture of critical data during the notification stage.
  • Taking a proactive approach to handling incoming communication to facilitate the timely and cost-effective resolution of claims.
  • Addressing incoming correspondence from claimants, assessors, garages, solicitors, and other stakeholders to mitigate the escalation of claim duration and related costs.
  • Conducting initial desktop investigations of claims and making decisions on indemnity and liability where possible.
  • Engaging in professional and equitable negotiation to settle claims with all involved parties.
  • Managing a designated workload of claims through to final settlement.
  • Reporting changes in claim complexity to the Claims Manager for appropriate handling.

 

Key Skills:

  • Essential experience in claims handling, with a minimum of two years.
  • Holding APA/Grandfathered status, with a preference for candidates working towards CIP certification.
  • A customer-focused mindset, demonstrating the ability to create mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Methodical and structured work approach, coupled with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional negotiation and decision-making skills.
