Trading Specialist

My client is looking for a Procurement & Trading Specialist to join their busy growing team. 

Are you an experienced professional with a knack for analyzing market trends and executing successful trading strategies? Are you passionate about driving profitable sales and influencing commercial decisions? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to become a key influencer in our organization and contribute to the growth of our seasonal product lines. Join our dynamic team and work directly with our Trading Director to make a meaningful impact. We are seeking individuals with a combination of creative flair, commercial awareness, and excellent communication and organizational skills.

What will I be doing on a day to day basis?

• Devise and drive procurement category strategies, becoming a market dynamics expert
• Make buying decisions based on a solid commercial framework to maximize sales and profit
• Ensure smooth and timely execution of buying initiatives
• Monitor profitability, margin, and cash flows for your portfolio of products
• Develop, evaluate, and implement supplier and sourcing strategies
• Identify and select new suppliers that meet quality and cost standards
• Conduct periodic business reviews with key suppliers to assess performance and initiatives
• Actively compare our product range with that of key competitors to stay ahead in terms of price, quality, and value

What do you need from me?

• We will consider people from different backgrounds so dont be afraid to apply if you are good with numbers and ready to learn.
• Excellent influencing skills, capable of engaging stakeholders up to and including executive level
• 3rd level qualification or equivalent in business, finance, or related disciplines is advantageous
