Your focus will be on purchasing properties, and overseeing the renovation of them to provide quality, affordable housing options to individuals and families in need. 

So what will I be doing every day?

As a Housing Sourcing and Renovation Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in identifying, evaluating, and acquiring properties for renovation. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Property Sourcing: Utilise your expertise in property markets and trends to identify potential housing opportunities for purchase.
  • Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain relationships with landlords, property owners, and real estate professionals to access a steady stream of property options.
  • Due Diligence: Conduct thorough research and analysis to assess the viability of properties, considering factors such as location, condition, and potential for renovation.
  • Negotiation: Negotiate purchase terms with property owners, ensuring favorable terms
  • Project Coordination: Collaborate with project management teams to oversee property renovations, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in alignment with the organisation's mission.
  • Market Insights: Stay informed about market trends, property values, and relevant regulations to make informed decisions.

What do you need from me to be considered?

  • Proven experience in property purchasing and real estate, preferably in the context of property renovation or affordable housing initiatives.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with property owners and landlords.
  • Excellent analytical abilities to evaluate property potential and assess renovation needs.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of local housing markets, property laws, and regulations.
  • Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • PSRA license is a distinct advantage.
  • Garda vetting will also be required for this role.
