Commercial Director – Professional Services - Dublin

This is a newly created role.  The Commercial Director is a senior leadership role responsible for driving the commercial success and growth of a professional services organization. This position requires a dynamic and strategic leader who can develop and execute effective sales and marketing strategies, manage key customer relationships, and lead cross-functional teams to achieve revenue and profitability targets.

Sales Management

  • Lead the sales team, set sales targets, and develop strategies to achieve revenue goals.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and take corrective actions as necessary.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Recruit, train and mentor team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence within the commercial department.

Budget & Financial Management

  • Develop and manage the commercial department's budget, ensuring cost-effective operations and optimal resource allocation.

Market Analysis

  • Conduct market research to identify industry trends, competitive intelligence, and potential business opportunities.
  • Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions and drive commercial strategies.

Your background skills and experience should include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Proven track record of at least 8 years in a senior commercial or executive leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of sales, marketing, and business development principles.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Results-oriented and capable of meeting revenue targets.
  • Knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and market dynamics.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
