Commercial Accountant Specialist - Big Pharma

Our Client a big Pharma company headquartered in Dublin is seeking a Commercial Accountant specialist to join their team. In this role, you will be part of our Finance team, specifically focusing on profit and loss analysis and balance sheet reconciliations within the Wholesale division. Your expertise and attention to detail will be crucial in ensuring accurate financial reporting, identifying opportunities for improvement, and supporting the commercial team in making informed decisions.

On successful hire, you will assume accountability for:

• Ownership of the review process of Gross Margin by Product type and Customer group in month end accounts preparation and reporting
• Review of performance vs KPIs and delivery of commentary to senior management
• Acting as a Commercial Business partner to the senior leadership team in the Wholesale
• Work closely with the Commercial Team to ensure that all commercial agreements are correctly applied, and deals are reclaimed accordingly.
• Supporting Commercial team on all Master data related issues (e.g., price changes, product set-up)

• Work with the relevant business partners (including AP, AR, Commercial, and IT) to ensure the resolution of reconciling items in a timely fashion.
• Ensure that B/S accounts and valuations reflect the true value of the business, aligned to the Group Companies’ policies
• Work with the Finance team to resolve outstanding issues on monthly balance sheet reconciliations

To be considered for an interview, your skills and experience will include:

• Qualified Accountant with 2/3 years of accounts experience
• Demonstrated and proven ability to work within a team to achieve common goals
• Significant experience in the area of Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Ability to work with significant volumes of data to investigate and arrive at a point that allows  an information-based decision to be made
• Dealing with 3rd parties where necessary to resolve issues identified in reconciliations.
• Ability to work effectively under time and delivery pressures
