My client is a leading ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) solutions reseller dedicated to empowering small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Ireland with efficient, streamlined, and integrated business management tools.

As the Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving our growth strategy by identifying, pursuing, and cultivating new business opportunities within the SME sector across Ireland. Your primary focus will be to establish and maintain relationships with prospective clients, understand their unique business needs, and position our ERP solutions as the ideal choice to address those needs

What's involved in the role?

  • Conduct thorough market research to identify target industries, segments, and potential clients within the SME market in Ireland
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the competitive landscape, industry trends, and customer pain points related to business management and ERP solutions
  • Identify and qualify leads through a combination of networking, cold calling, online research, attending industry events, and leveraging existing contacts
  • Create and maintain a robust pipeline of potential clients, tracking interactions and progress using CRM software
  • Tailor solution presentations and proposals that clearly articulate the benefits and ROI of our ERP offerings in addressing specific client needs
  • Build strong and lasting relationships with key stakeholders, showcasing expertise and trustworthiness as a strategic partner

Sounds good, what do you need from me to be considered?

 

  • Proven track record in business development or sales, preferably in the ERP software or technology solutions space
  • Strong understanding of ERP systems, their functionalities, and their benefits to businesses
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify opportunities, solve complex problems, and adapt to changing market conditions
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with the SME landscape in Ireland, including industry trends and challenges
